B.   But God commendeth his love for us (Romans 5:8,9)

1.    Now you understand the love of God

2.    To ‘commend’ means to demonstrate, prove, display, pour out…

3.    On the likes of us!

4.    When?

5.    While we were yet sinners!

C.   Even God’s Enemies (Romans 5:10) were died FOR!

1.    We ARE enemies of God (Romans 5:10)

2.    We don’t do things His way

3.    Yet God went out of His way to reconcile us to Himself, not waiting for US to decide to reconcile with Him!

a.    Dying in the place of His enemies

b.    Justifying His enemies – not their actions, but their souls

c.     Reconciling every enemy to Himself, bring them (US) to himself

D.   So, what kind of people did Jesus sacrifice his life for?

1.    Jesus tells us he came seeking to save people who were lost

2.    Sinners, sinful people – people whose lives are full of sins

3.    People who are not interested in God or him or even in being saved. They are the people Jesus sacrificed his life for!

4.    Jesus died for the proud, the arrogant, the unconvinced

5.    He died even for unbelievers! Atheists

6.    There is no one that Jesus did not take the wrath of God for!

E.   Anyone Can Now Receive the Atonement Now (Romans 5:11)

1.    It means the bringing together two enemies, and them being made into friends, even family

2.    God says, only blood, death of a mediator can fully restore a sinful man or woman to God, by washing their sins away…

3.    Jesus MADE the atonement…
